Maintenance Support

Summary:
We are looking for a Maintenance Support who will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance in a school, office, hotel, residential building, or similar facility.

Job Responsibility:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing and water fixtures, electrical repairs and lighting, carpentry and furniture repairs, painting and wall repairs, door, lock, and hardware repairs, and basic air-conditioning/HVAC maintenance.
- Inspect buildings and equipment for any maintenance issues and promptly address them to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Keep track of maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements, to maintain accurate records and ensure that all work is completed efficiently.

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or general building maintenance, preferably in a school, office, hotel, residential building, or similar facility.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and water fixtures, electrical repairs and lighting, carpentry and furniture repairs, painting and wall repairs, door, lock, and hardware repairs, as well as basic air-conditioning/HVAC maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.

Summary:
We are seeking a Maintenance Support professional to help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment. The role includes carrying out routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and following safeguarding and child-protection procedures when working in areas used by children or young people.

Job Responsibility:
- Carry out basic repairs and routine maintenance across the premises.
- Inspect facilities and equipment, report hazards, and escalate issues that require specialist attention.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests while minimising disruption to staff, visitors, and children.
- Keep tools, materials, and work areas organised and secure.
- Follow health, safety, fire-safety, and site-security procedures.
- Comply with safeguarding and child-protection policies, including maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Avoid being alone with a child wherever possible and follow site procedures if one-to-one contact cannot be avoided.
- Report any safeguarding concern, disclosure, or incident immediately to the designated safeguarding lead, following organisational procedures.
- Respect children’s privacy and do not photograph, record, or share their personal information.
- Complete required safeguarding training and cooperate with relevant checks and reporting procedures.

Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities support, or a related practical role is preferred.
- Basic repair and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognise when specialist support is needed.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Willingness to follow safeguarding and child-protection policies and complete required training and background checks.
- Reliable, respectful, and able to communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
