Science Laboratory Technician (Physics) - Secondary

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physics Laboratory Technician to support our Secondary School Physics Department in conducting experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe laboratory environment for students.

Job Responsibility:
- Prepare experiments and set up equipment for physics laboratory sessions
- Assist students and teachers during experiments and demonstrations
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Keep an inventory of supplies and order new materials as needed
- Ensure a safe and clean laboratory environment by following safety protocols and guidelines
- Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field
- Proven experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a school environment
- Strong knowledge of physics concepts and laboratory techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and other staff members
- Understanding of safety procedures and protocols in a laboratory setting
